Ski-Doo Gen 4 (or Lynx Boondocker) — 2017 to 2022
All mounting hardware is included.
Installation help: see our step-by-step guides on the install page.
With the Gen 4 front bumpers please take note if you have a poly skid plate on your machine, and if so which one. We will supply you with the right lower skid plate attachment. Skid plates for the Ski-Doo / Lynx Boondocker are included in the price.
If you need a Lynx Boondocker front bumper, one of our Ski-Doo Gen 4 front bumper options will be a direct bolt-on part.
No poly skid plate — we supply a lower belly pan skid plate that bolts directly to the machine and to the lower portion of the front bumper. This is our strongest option. If you have an extreme poly skid plate this option can be used with some modifications. If you can see your aluminum casting under your machine between your A-arms, you have no poly skid plate on your machine.
If your machine is equipped with a factory poly skid plate, this front bumper and skid plate setup can still be used with some minor trimming of the factory poly skid plate. This setup will give you the best overall protection.
Deep snow poly skid plate — we supply a lower skid plate that fastens to the deep snow skid plate and to the lower portion of the front bumper. This skid plate measures approx 4.5" in between the A-arms.
Full Body Skid Plate — this is a one-piece bumper design (does not have a lower skid plate attachment). This skid plate measures approx 8.75" in between the A-arms, and actually hangs out past the bottom of the A-arms.
We use 6063 aluminum pipe for bumper construction, a superior choice compared to the commonly used 6061 aluminum blend used by other aftermarket companies. 6061 is known for its structural brittleness, while 6063 has the ability to absorb energy effectively. That means our bumpers have superior strength over our competitors. We made this an important part of our design because in some cases it allows our front bumpers to be repaired after enduring forceful impacts, while trying to bend back 6061 will almost always result in cracking.
Powder Coat: our standard practice is powder coating with Prismatic Powders. For colour options and custom colours please visit the Prismatic Powders website.
Custom colours are available on request and add approximately one week of lead time and a $50 charge.

Precision TIG-welded 6063 aluminum -chosen for its superior energy absorption. Our bumpers flex on impact instead of shattering, making them repairable after hard hits. Every bumper is finished with Prismatic Powders coating for lasting durability.

Which skid plate does your sled have?
BRP machines (Ski-Doo & Lynx) ship with different factory skid plates — not tied to model year. Two identical 2025 sleds can have different skid plates. Select yours below to get the right bumper.
Customers comfortable trimming can modify the deep snow bumper to fit full body skids, or the no-poly bumper to fit any BRP poly skid.
